Brian Hawe

Product Manager

My name’s Brian, and I’ve been First Class Holidays' Product Manager for the past 5 and a half years, though I’ve worked in the travel industry for 48 years in total.

Where have you visited?

My travels have taken me all over the world, for both work and leisure, to destinations across Europe, Canada and the USA, Latin America, Australia, South East Asia and the Indian Ocean island paradise of the Maldives. To list them all, I’ve visited: Canada, USA, Caribbean Islands, Brazil, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Singapore, Thailand, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Turkey, Greece, Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Luxembourg

Where has been your favourite place?

My favourite destinations tend to be places where I can indulge in snorkelling, which is my number-one holiday activity. I consider the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Queensland in Australia as having some the best waters for snorkelling in the world, and I usually choose to stay nearby in the laid-back town of Port Douglas. I also like to visit places with good all-round outdoor activities such as Lake Tahoe on the California & Nevada border. As far as cities are concerned, Boston is my top destination for a city break, though my most memorable hotel stay was at the luxurious Marriott Bangkok.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Outside of work, I’m a big ice hockey fan; I regularly watch my sons in action and I’ve also coached a roller-hockey team. You’ll also find me spending a lot of time with my border collie Nellie.
