East Coast Adventure
Day 1 : Arrive Sydney
Be met on arrival in Sydney and transferred to your hotel. Explore this stunning city on a memorable half-day sightseeing coach tour this afternoon, soaking up the famous historic landmarks, including the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. This evening cruise Sydney Harbour for a Welcome Dinner; and enjoy fantastic views of the city.

Day 2 : Sydney - Surfers Paradise
Your day begins this morning with some free time, perhaps to explore The Rocks or Darling Harbour before heading to the airport for a flight to the Gold Coast. With its sun-drenched beaches, theme parks, shopping and nightlife, this is one of Australia’s leading holiday playgrounds and it’s not hard to see why - it is simply beautiful.

Day 3 : Surfers Paradise
A free day to explore Surfers Paradise and all the Gold Coast has to offer. Energetic and eclectic, Surfers Paradise is the major hub of the Gold Coast and is home to many music, cultural and sporting events. Head to Cavill Avenue for shops, cafés and lively nightclubs, stroll along the long white sandy beaches, swim in the ocean or head for one of the theme parks. Or perhaps you’ll visit the SkyPoint observation deck for panoramic ocean and city views (not included).
Day 4 : Gold Coast - Australia Zoo - Noosa
Departing the Gold Coast this morning, travel through Queensland’s capital city, Brisbane and visit the world renowned Australia Zoo, made famous by the late Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. From the smallest of reptiles to the largest of mammals, Australia Zoo is home to over 100 different species. Here, you will be given the opportunity to gain an indepth understanding of conservation and see many native species up close. Then travel north to Noosa.
Day 5 : Noosa – Fraser Island
Explore Noosa this morning before travelling to Hervey Bay and River Heads for the crossing to Fraser Island, the largest sand island in the world and an ecological treasure trove.

Day 6 : Fraser Island
Located at the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef, Fraser Island offers a rare and beautiful paradise. Your base here is the eco-friendly Kingfisher Bay Resort. Discover this beautiful island with a half-day tour and some time at leisure this afternoon. Perhaps explore the hundreds of walking trails which criss-cross the island. Immerse yourself in the ancient rainforests or explore the coloured sand cliffs on Seventy-Five Mile Beach. Fraser Island is a popular location for spotting various marine life including Humpback whales as they make their journey north for the winter between June and November. Perhaps visit the wreck of the Maheno, a trans-Tasman liner that was driven ashore during a cyclone in 1935. Or, you may simply wish to relax on a stretch of powdery white sand with a good book, before donning snorkelling gear to discover one of the island’s many pristine freshwater lakes.
Day 7 : Fraser Island - Hervey Bay - Rockhampton
A morning cruise takes you across Hervey Bay, where you’ll discover why this special place is often referred to as the jewel in Queensland’s crown. The journey concludes back on the mainland where you’ll rejoin your coach to continue north. Travel through sugarcane country, crossing some of the many narrow gauge railway lines that transport sugarcane from the field to processing plant, an iconic sight of rural Queensland. Later, arrive in the inland city of Rockhampton.

Day 8 : Rockhampton - Hamilton Island
Explore the charming historical town of Rockhampton, known as the gateway to the coast and the Outback. Founded in 1853, the city is home to beautiful heritage architecture and a rich, fascinating history. Then travel to Airlie Beach and enjoy one of the region’s most beautiful beaches. Here you will join a ferry through the sparkling Whitsundays and realise your dreams of a tropical island paradise as you arrive at picturesque Hamilton island. Enjoy dinner later this evening.

Day 9 : Hamilton Island
You have the entire day at leisure to do as little or as much as you like. Idyllically located in the Whitsunday Islands at the southern edge of the Great Barrier Reef, Hamilton Island has a bustling centre and marina and offers a tropical experience like no other. You’ll find stunning coral reefs and amazing beaches lapped by a sea so clear and blue it’s hard to imagine; a choice of stylish restaurants, cafes and bars and even a nightclub. Perhaps snorkel off the beach, enjoy a round of golf or hire a buggy to explore this beautiful island (all at own expense).
Day 10 : Hamilton Island - Townsville - Mission Beach
Take an early morning ferry transfer from Hamilton Island to re-board your coach and travel to Townsville. On arrival, enjoy a tour of this tropical city, surrounded by lush tropical rainforest hinterland and the magnificent Great Barrier Reef. Continue to Mission Beach, an unspoilt tropical paradise of World Heritage rainforest with 14 kilometres of golden, sandy beach. Sit back and enjoy the relaxed nature of Mission Beach. Arrive at your beachfront escape, Castaways Resort and Spa, where the only thing between you and the golden beach is a grassy lawn and a line of coconut.

Day 11 : Mission Beach - Atherton Tablelands - Cairns
Continuing north, you’ll encounter rolling green hills, open farmlands and tropical rainforests, which ultimately define the Atherton Tablelands. The region is a dormant volcanic zone and is home to the magnificent Millaa Millaa Falls, some of the most photographed waterfalls in Australia. As you journey towards Cairns, you’ll visit the The Curtain Fig National Park, which is home to an Australian icon, the renowned Curtain Fig Tree, an enormous strangler fig tree. The giant tree has several aerial roots hanging down from its branches that look like curtains. It’s over 500 years old and definitely worth a look! Later board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway in the picturesque village of Kuranda and ride above the treetops to Caravonica Lakes. This experience will take you over Australia’s World heritage-listed Tropical Rainforest canopy and deep into the forest, whilst providing the ideal opportunity to learn about ne Australia’s most botanically fascinating and diverse areas.

Day 12 : Great Barrier Reef
Cruise to Reef Magic’s reef activity platform for five hours amidst the colourful coral and marine life. Snorkel in the sheltered lagoon, walk through the underwater observatory, join a tour on the semi-submersible or glass bottom boat, or relax on the sundeck. This is one of the best destinations on the Great Barrier Reef for viewing the unique species of coral and fish that call the reef home. Enjoy a special Farewell Dinner at Tjapukai By Night this evening. Discover the Dreamtime, take an interactive part in a corroboree, then be guided along a flame-lit pathway to a dinner of local produce.
Day 13 : Depart Cairns
Transfer to the airport in Cairns for your onward flight.
