  1. Day 1

    Calgary Arrival

    Arrive in Calgary and spend the rest of the day sightseeing independently.

     

  2. Day 2

    Calgary to Banff with Helicopter Tour

    Depart Calgary this morning for a full-day tour concluding in Banff. The highlight of today is a 12-minute Panoramic Helicopter Tour over the remarkable landscape of the Rockies. Continue to Banff for a sightseeing tour including Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos and the Banff Gondola.

     

     

  3. Day 3

    Banff to Lake Louise

    A half-day tour takes you into Yoho National Park to view some of its natural wonders. Among the attractions are the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and a natural rock bridge spanning the Kicking Horse River. The tour ends in Lake Louise where the remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure to enjoy this magnificent location.

    Please note: While arrival at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise will be approximately 1:00 p.m., scheduled check-in time is not until 4:00 p.m. In the event that your room is not ready, your luggage will be stored and you are free to enjoy the hotel.

     

  4. Day 4

    Lake Louise to Kamloops

    Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the mountain hamlet of Lake Louise to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. Your journey takes you through a spectacular array of scenery as you travel between the glacier and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranch lands of the interior. Today’s highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, the Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie – where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven.

     

  5. Day 5

    Kamloops to Vancouver

    Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. You will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the Interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening where you have a two night stay.

     

  6. Day 6

    Vancouver

    Today you have a choice of sightseeing options: Enjoy a six-hour sightseeing tour of Vancouver’s spectacular North Shore. Travel across the Lions Gate Bridge and into the Coast Mountains. Experience the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Treetops Adventure, discovering the coastal temperate rainforest and British Columbia’s First Nations heritage. Next, visit Grouse Mountain (gondola admission included), the Peak of Vancouver. Or perhaps enjoy a five-hour guided cycling tour of Vancouver’s highlights, and experience the best of Vancouver’s food, history, ecology and culture while being active. Foodies will love an in-depth “Made in BC” Vancouver food tour on Granville Island, in the company of an experienced local chef or food writer.

    Vancouver Departure
