Day 1 : Arrive Calgary
On arrival into Calgary a private transfer is included to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day 2 : Calgary - Banff
This morning take a scenic drive through to the resort town of Banff. On arrival enjoy a short tour visiting such points as Bow Falls, and Surprise Corner, and a stop at the Banff Gondola to ride up into the mountain tops for spectacular views (admission included), before arriving at your hotel. The rest of the day is free. Perhaps go out and discover the many sights and highlights of the town, or try out one of the many fantastic restaurants on offer.
Day 3 : Banff - Lake Louise
Enjoy a free morning in Banff. Perhaps stroll down Banff Avenue or walk the Bow Falls Trail and look at Bow Falls before you leave in the early afternoon for a short drive via the scenic Bow Valley to Lake Louise. Perhaps go out and discover the many sights and highlights of the town, or try out one of the many fantastic restaurants on offer.
Day 4 : Lake Louise - Jasper
Travel by coach along one of the most scenic highways in North America - the Icefield Parkway Visit the Columbia Icefield for an included Ice Explorer ride on the Athabasca Glacier and a walk on the new Glacier Skywalk. Along the way stops will be made at Bow & Peyto Lakes, the Crowfoot Glacier and the Athabasca Falls. This highway is renowned for sightings of bear, elk, moose & mountain sheep, so keep your camera handy.
Day 5 : Jasper
Today is free to enjoy the spectacular wonders of Jasper. Enjoy the superb vistas, stroll the quaint streets and perhaps take an optional float ride down the Athabasca River or visit to Maligne Lake. This evening experience the Jasper Wonderland for some amazing close-up photo opportunities of wildlife. Destinations can include the Maligne Valley or Pyramid Bench with its beaver ponds.
Day 6 : Rocky Mountaineer - Jasper to Kamloops
All aboard the Rocky Mountaineer in GoldLeaf Service for a scenic rail journey to Kamloops in the interior of British Columbia. Leaving Jasper National Park behind you travel the ‘Yellowhead’ route past the sprawling grandeur of Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Follow the mighty Thompson River, the route of early fur traders, before arriving in Kamloops.
Day 7 : Rocky Mountaineer - Kamloops to Vancouver
Leaving Kamloops follow the Thompson River, pass through Rainbow Canyon and Fraser Canyon, where at Hells Gate watch water torrent past the canyon walls at its narrowest point. The last leg of the journey takes you through the fertile farming region of the Fraser Valley to arrive in the Pacific port of Vancouver late afternoon. On arrival at the station, a transfer will take you to your hotel.
Day 8 : Vancouver
A free day to explore Vancouver, voted the world’s third most liveable city and most liveable in Canada; a young, friendly city with countless natural charms in close proximity. Shop on chic Robson Street or explore the funky Granville Island with its market and artists enclave; visit the city’s vast array of museums; walk or cycle around the 1000-acre Stanley Park or visit quaint and atmospheric Gastown.
Day 9 : Alaska Cruise
After a morning at leisure you’ll be transferred to the Cruise terminal and board the all-suite, all balcony Seven Seas Mariner for your 6 star cruise of a lifetime north to Alaska. With just 350 suites, no queues or crowds, you will get a close personal view of the dramatic depth and beauty of Alaska’s vast landscapes. As you journey to the wilderness of Alaska you’ll make new discoveries and enjoy the all-inclusive Regent Experience.
All meals, premium brand drinks, gratuities and shore excursions are included. All Suites have an ocean view, European king-size bed (configurable to twin-bed if required), walk in closet, marble bathroom with full bathtub and shower, luxury linens, bathrobes, slippers, interactive TV, hair dryer, safe, telephone and a minibar replenished daily with soft drinks, beer and bottled water.

To enhance your time ashore there are a range of shore excursions available at most ports of call, you can take as many as you wish in a day or evening and all are FREE. All shore excursions can be booked 180 days prior to your cruise and are available on a first come first served basis; they must be booked direct with the cruise line and are capacity controlled - so book early to avoid disappointment.
Day 10 : Cruise the Inside Passage
Enjoy a full day at sea as you cruise along the British Columbia coast towards the Alaska Panhandle. Glide past rocky headlands, through the frigid waters of the Inside Passage and sail close to steep mountain walls in one of the world’s most picturesque sea lanes.
Day 11 : Ketchikan
The name ‘Ketchikan’ comes from the native language word for “Where the eagles meet”. Much of the town’s colourful past is still in evidence, like the world’s largest collection of totem poles, staring out to sea.
Day 12 : Juneau
Sail to Alaska’s capital city, Juneau. Born in the gold rush of 1880, today it is the scenery and fauna that is the town’s fortune with wild mountains, fjords and glaciers dominating. Wildlife is abundant – you may spot whales, sea lions, eagles, deer and the majestic Mendanhall Glacier is close by.
Day 13 : Skagway
A hundred years ago some 20,000 gold prospectors came stampeding through Skagway, a little town that still survives today with its false fronted buildings and wooden boardwalks. Don’t miss a ride on the White Pass & Yukon Route railway.
Day 14 : Sitka
Founded by Russian fur traders as New Archangel in 1799, Sitka was the historic centre of Russia’s Alaskan empire. The Russian flag was replaced by the Stars and Stripes when the United States purchased the Alaska territory in 1867. Today, picturesque Sitka, is known for its fishing industry, an annual summer classical music festival and, of course, its many historic visitor attractions. On a clear day Sitka, the only city in southeast Alaska that actually fronts the Pacific Ocean, rivals Juneau for the sheer beauty of its surroundings.
Day 15 : Cruising the Hubbard Glacier
Enjoy the onboard facilities today as you cruise past the magnificent Hubbard Glacier on your way to Seward. The glacier takes 400 years to move from the start point near Mount Walsh to the sea, and regularly calves icebergs forcing shipping to keep at a safe distance. If you hear one calving it’s a sound that you will never forget.
Day 16 : Seward – Anchorage
Arrive in Seward this morning. Disembark after breakfast and take the coach transfer north along Turnagain Arm and scenic Cook Inlet and on to Anchorage. The rest of the day is free to explore this Alaskan city.
Day 17 : Anchorage departure
A private transfer will take you to the airport for your onward flight. Or perhaps you’ll stay a while and explore stunning Alaskan treasures like the Denali National Park, incredible lodges and amazing wildlife experiences.
