Day 1 : UK - Johannesburg

On arrival a private transfer will take you to your hotel, the Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff. This is a stylish urban resort elevated on a hillside with panoramic views across the Johannesburg Zoo and the prestigious neighbourhoods of The Parks, and conveniently close to business, culture, shopping and leisure activities.

Day 2 : Johannesburg

Today’s private tour takes you out of the city to the Cradle of Humankind, a mere hour’s drive away. Highlights include Maropeng Visitor Centre - an exciting, world-class exhibition, focusing on the evolution of humankind and an underground boat ride taking you back in time and retracing the various stages of our planet’s evolution. A visit to the Sterkfontein Caves further enhances your visit as you discover the excavation sites of the fossils of Mrs Ples and Little Foot, the latter being an Australopithecus skeleton which is more than 3 million years old.

Day 3 : Amakhala Game Reserve

A private transfer takes you to the airport for your flight to Port Elizabeth Airport. On arrival here another private transfer takes you to Amakhala Game Reserve, the pinnacle of private game reserves and home to the coveted Big 5. 

Day 4-5 : Amakhala Game Reserve

The Interactive game drives take place in the tranquil moods of sunrise and sunset. Your early morning safari enables you to experience the sights and sounds of the African bushveld as it awakens. Track the wildlife as the days stirs them into motion. Witness the birds of prey or spot one of the Big 5 from the comfort and safety of open game viewing vehicles. Return to the lodge for breakfast and spend a few hours relaxing before heading out on your afternoon game viewing drive. Watch the sunset and then continue observing the nocturnal behaviour of the wildlife before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Day 6 : Cape Town

A private transfer takes you to the airport for your fligh to Cape Town. On arrival a private transfer takes you to your hotel, the Table Bay Hotel, located adjacent to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront shopping and entertainment complex overlooking the Cape Town harbour. From here you have access to a diversity of shops and restaurants. 

Day 7 : Cape Town

A full day tour to Cape Point & Peninsula is included today. Your tour will travel via Camps Bay to Hout Bay where you can take a boat trip to Duiker Island to view the Cape Fur seal colony. Heading into the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve you will be able to visit the historic lighthouse for a view over False Bay before driving into Simon’s Town, a naval base village, home to a land based African Penguin colony. From Simon’s Town your last stop is the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden before returning to your hotel.

Day 8 : Cape Winelands

A full day tour takes you to the historic heart of South Africa’s wine industry. Explore the historic university town of Stellenbosch, then visit Paarl, one of the Cape’s finest farming districts, home to the famous KWV range of wines and brandy followed by a visit to Franschhoek. Wine tastings are included in each town, with their microclimates influencing the flavours of each wine. 

Day 9-10 : Cape Town - UK

Your tour ends with a private transfer to Cape Town Airport where you will board your flight back to the UK.
