Day 1 : Arrive Winnipeg

Arrive in Winnipeg. At 7:00 pm a dinner will be held at the hotel, where you will meet your fellow travellers and adventure specialist.

Hotel: The Grand Winnipeg Airport

Day 2 : Winnipeg – Seal River or Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge

Fly to Churchill then on to your chosen Lodge (Seal River Lodge - 7 days; Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge 8 days). This scenic flight takes you along the Hudson Bay coast to Canada’s most exclusive polar bear viewing properties. Upon your arrival your hosts will provide a tour of the Lodge.

Hotel: Seal River Heritage Lodge or Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge

Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge is situated 250 km southeast of Churchill near the historic York Factory and newly discovered polar bear denning areas. Nanuk Polar Bear lodge offers:

  • Cosy fireplace lounge for relaxation and storytelling
  • 8 guest rooms with en-suite bathrooms
  • Perimeter fencing and 24-hour safety patrol
  • No other human presence within 100 miles

Seal River Heritage Lodge, a recent inclusion into the prestigious National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World, is located 60 km north of Churchill near the Seal River estuary where thousands of beluga whales congregate every summer. Seal River Heritage Lodge offers:

Day 3-6 : Trekking, polar bears & photography

Days 3-5 (Seal River Only) or Days 3-6 (Nanuk only): 

Trekking, polar bears and photography. Due to the lodges wildly rugged and remote locations it is perfect for wildlife photographers to get up close and personal with the Arctic wildlife including polar bears in a pristine wilderness setting. The shoreline location is ideal for photographing bears on snow and ice. Furthermore there are often clear nights for northern lights photography.

Day 6/7 : Return to Winnipeg

Day 6 (Seal River) Day 7 (Nanuk): After breakfast you transfer by air to Churchill, The day is free to explore and a dine-around voucher is provided before you fly to Winnipeg this evening.

Day 7/8 : Depart Winnipeg

Continue your onward journey after breakfast.
