Day 1 : Arrive Denver

On arrival in Denver make your way to your downtown hotel.

Day 2 : Rocky Mountaineer Denver to Glenwood Springs

Begin your two day journey of extraordinary landscapes as you travel in SilverLeaf service through highlights best enjoyed from the comfort of your seat. Departing from Denver you’ll cross the Continental Divide as you take in the spectacular views of rugged canyons and the Colorado River before arriving at the resort town of Glenwood Springs. Overnight in Glenwood Springs. Breakfast and lunch are served onboard the train.

Day 3 : Glenwood Springs to Moab

Back onboard the Rocky Mountaineer this morning. Cross the Colorado-Utah border with stunning mountain views in the background. Red sandstone landscapes emerge as you approach Moab, the gateway to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. On arrival in Moab make your way to your downtown hotel. 

Moab’s unique combination of small resort town hospitality, southwestern charm, beautiful scenery and the cool waters of the Colorado River has made it one of the most sought after destinations in the American Southwest with a great collection of restaurants, microbreweries, shops, and galleries. Moab’s diverse cuisine will please any palate, from regional southwestern fare to world-class gourmet. Stroll through the downtown shops for a great selection of southwestern arts and jewellery, souvenirs, t-shirts and much more
Breakfast is served onboard the train today. 

Day 4-6 : Las Vegas

Take an afternoon flight to glittering Las Vegas for a three night stay.
There is nowhere else on earth quite like it and you’ll never be bored in Las Vegas. You can’t help but soak up the buzz in the city that never sleeps, where the entertainment is in a class of its own with top international stars appearing in spectacular productions. There’s also a vast choice of Cirque du Soleil shows, musicals, comedians and magicians. Non-stop retail therapy in amazing malls and a superb fine-dining scene to compete with any other city in the world. There is plenty of opportunity to relax too, with fabulous hotel pools and amazing spas. No trip would be complete without a trip to the Grand Canyon, so we’ve included a helicopter trip with a landing in the canyon.
 

Day 7-9 : Los Angeles

Fly to Los Angeles for a three night stay. The ‘City of Angels’ offers an endless array of sightseeing and entertainment. Head for Hollywood to see the famous sights associated with the movies, or West Hollywood for the nightlife of Sunset Strip. Beverly Hills and Bel Air are all good for celebrity spotting, while popular beachside suburbs such as beautiful Santa Monica combine a city break with the relaxed lifestyle that has become synonymous with Southern California. See the sights with your included 48-hour hopper pass.
 

Day 10 : Los Angeles to San Francisco

Board Amtrak’s’ Coast Starlight service and travel the rails to San Francisco, the City by the Bay, for a three night stay.

Day 11-12 : San Francisco

Unrivalled natural and man-made wonders make San Francisco one of America’s most beautiful cities. From the iconic Golden Gate Bridge to the amazing shopping around Union Square; exclusive Nob Hill to the tourist attractions and sea lions of Fisherman’s Wharf, hippy Haight-Ashbury to the restaurants of North Beach and the infamous Alcatraz, this is a city for everyone. See it all with your 2 day hopper sightseeing pass.
 

Day 13 : San Francisco to Seattle

Take to the rails again aboard the Coast Starlight as it wends its way north through California, into Oregon and Washington and the journey’s end in Seattle, the Emerald City. Stay two nights.

Day 14 : Seattle

A free day to explore on your own. Be sure to visit the Space needle and whatever you do don’t forget to make time to visit Pike Place Market. Coffee lovers will want to visit the first Starbucks opposite the market, or Seattle’s Best down the street on the corner; after all this is the home of the coffee shop.

Day 15 : Board your Alaska Cruise

For more than 140 years, Holland America Line has been a recognised leader in cruising, taking guests to exotic destinations around the world in mid-sized ships. If you are looking for some of the most spacious and comfortable ships at sea with award-winning service, five-star dining and extensive activities then they are the cruise line for you. There is a plethora of onboard activities that enable you to learn, play, relax and enjoy. Your carefully crafted journey is all about balance, depth and authenticity, with all the details taken care of so that the moment you step aboard, you’ll feel the difference. Sit back, relax and get ready to set sail to Alaska. All meals are included from Dinner on the day that you embark to breakfast on the day you dis-embark.
Seattle’s air is fresh, its inland sea dotted with sailboats and ferries. Gulls dip and dive around the harbour, then soar away as your ship departs for an adventure through the fabled Inside Passage. Depart Seattle at 4pm and cruise through Puget Sound.

Day 16 : At Sea

Spend your day at sea along the Strait of Juan de Fuca on your way to Alaska’s deep green islands, ice-blue glaciers and charming frontier towns. Watch in wonder as whales, puffins and the park’s massive tidewater glaciers come into view.

Day 17 : Juneau

Continue your journey to Juneau, Alaska’s capital city. Born in the gold rush of 1880, it is the incredible scenery, wild mountains, fjords and dominating glaciers that make this city stand out.

Day 18 : Glacier Bay

Frosted crags descend into mossy forests and a 457-metre-deep (1,500-foot-deep) fjord at this World Heritage Site. Stone, ice and water continue to collide, sculpting a dramatic landscape that is the crown jewel of south-eastern Alaska’s natural wonders.
 

 

Day 19 : Sitka

Sitka welcomes you with lively performances by the New Archangel Dancers. Join the crew of a commercial fishing boat and watch as they haul in huge king crab pots to reveal the catch of the day. Back on board your luxurious ship, succulent Alaska king crab legs await at the intimate Pinnacle Grill.
 

Day 20 : Ketchikan

Today you’ll be heading to Ketchikan; much of the town’s colourful past is still in evidence, as you’ll realise when you the world’s largest collection of totem poles which stare out to sea.

Day 21 : Victoria

Today you’ll visit Victoria, British Columbia. Victoria is a unique blend of old world charm and new world experiences.

Day 22-23 : Seattle - Arrive UK

Arrive back in Seattle this morning and make your way to the airport for your homeward flight.
