Day 1-2 : UK - Kuala Lumpur

Depart the UK with the national airline of Malaysia, Malaysia Airlines. Check-in via malaysiaairlines.com, their app or at the airport and step onboard to enjoy the warm Malaysian Hospitality offered to all passengers. Experience Malay culture, heritage and cuisine onboard with delicious local dishes served throughout your flight. Remain connected with MHconnect, our complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi, allowing you to browse the web, send messages and more. Pass the time watching a show, movie and more from our wide selection on MHstudio. Sit back and relax in comfort on your overnight flight and enjoy the warm Malaysian Hospitality provided by the friendly crew.  On arrival you will be met and transferred to Hotel Stripes in the heart of the city.

Day 3 : Kuala Lumpur

This morning you will join a guided city tour of Kuala Lumpur.   A must-do tour for first time visitors to Kuala Lumpur, this fascinating tour unveils both the beauty and charm of the old town, and the dynamism of new Kuala Lumpur – Garden City of Light. Highlights include the Petronas Twin Towers, King’s Palace and National Mosque, along with visits to the National Monument and National Museum. This afternoon is at leisure, you may wish to explore the local street food stalls or head back to Hotel Stripes and take a dip in the swimming pool.

Transfer from your hotel to the Petronas Twin Towers, the tallest twin towers in the world, for panoramic views and photo opportunities of the surrounding area (not including the entry ticket to the skybridge). From here walk to Saloma Link Bridge, a connection bridge which takes you onto Kampung Baru. Begining in the Malay village "Kampung Baru", stroll down the streets where Malaysian-style food stalls sprout like mushrooms. Marvel at the contrast of traditional small Malay houses against the backdrop of the famous KL twin towers and huge skyscrapers. Stop at one of the food stalls to try some of the local Malay dishes such as “kuih’ and sweet treats, as well as the famous Malaysian breakfast “Nasi Lemak”, “roti canai” and “Teh Tarik”.

Depart from Kampong Baru to the oldest mosque in Kuala Lumpur, Masjid Jamek. The mosque was originally built by Muslim traders from India during the British colonial period. Jamek Mosque was the main mosque for Friday prayers and the center of Islamic activities until the construction of the National Mosque in 1967. Following this, venture into Little India where your walk will take you past colourful jewelry and saree shops. Stroll along the riverbank aka ‘River of Life’ and see the confluence of two rivers, the Klang River and Gombak Rivers, which gave name to Kuala Lumpur. Next, head to the historic sites Sultan Abdul Samad Building & Royal Selangor Club. The Sultan Abdul Samad Building is a late-nineteenth-century building located in front of Independence Square. The building originally housed the offices of the British colonial administration and was known simply as the Government Offices in its early years. The final stop of the tour is the Central Market, where you’ll discover a vibrant and bustling place selling handicrafts, batik, souvenirs, antiques, collectibles, and much more.

Day 4 : Penang

Time to check out and be transferred to the airport for your short flight to Penang. Penang is a mosaic of Malay, Chinese and Indian cultures, food and architecture. The vibrant capital, George Town, has a thriving street art scene and delicious street food options.  Your driver will transfer you to the charming Eastern & Oriental Hotel. Rich furnishings and historical artefacts can be found throughout this stunning hotel.  Check in and indulge in your suite facilities or take a short walk and explore George Town. This evening you will join a unique heritage food trail onboard a trishaw, travel and dine like a local.  

Day 5 : Penang

This tour covers all the key sights of Penang Island. Start at the world’s 4th longest statue of The Reclining Buddha – Wat Chayamangkalaram before proceeding to the Dhammikarama Temple, an elaborately decorated Burmese Temple, which was the first Buddhist temple to be built in Penang in 1803. Next, you’ll drive past the Street of Harmony, home of Saint George’s Anglican Church (built 1818) and pass Kuan Yin – Goddess of Mercy Temple (Penang’s oldest Taoist temple built in the early 1800s when the Chinese settled in Penang), Sri Mariamman Temple (the oldest Hindu temple) and Masjid Kapitan Keling (the oldest Indian Muslim mosque). Explore the highly ornate clan house of Khoo Kongsi, followed by a visit to a local coffee shop. Finally, there is a brief photo stop at Fort Cornwallis, the location where Francis Light and crew first landed in Penang in 1786.

Return to your hotel where there is time to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. 
 

Day 6 : Perth

Time to leave the colourful Capital City of Penang, Georgetown for your private transfer and onward flight to Perth. Welcome to this vibrant coastal city known for its stunning beaches, abundant sunshine, unique wildlife and awe-inspiring experiences. Relax at the beautiful Cottesloe beach, explore the lush Kings Park - one of the world’s largest and most impressive inner-city parks. Your private car will transfer you to your hotel to freshen up.  Join a walking tour

Day 7 : Bussleton

Collect your rental car and head 45 minutes south of Perth to Rockingham for a memorable marine encounter with Perth Wildlife Encounters. Choose to swim with wild dolphins, snorkel with sea lions, or stay dry and enjoy the experience from the boat, complimented by a fresh seafood lunch.

Continue your journey south to Busselton, home to the iconic Busselton Jetty. Walk or take the train out to the Underwater Observatory and explore life beneath the waves. Wrap up the day with dinner at The Pavilions, known for modern coastal fare, or enjoy beer tasting and casual dining at Shelter Brewing Co., right on the waterfront.

Day 8 : Margaret River

After a scenic 40-minute drive, arrive in Margaret River, Australia’s most premium wine region, responsible for a quarter of the countries fine wine production. Enjoy a coffee overlooking Gnarabup Beach at the White Elephant Café, where sweeping ocean views set the tone for the region's natural beauty, discover countless pristine beaches, walk part of the cape-to-cape track before joining an evening aboriginal guided tour of Ngigli cave, part of Margaret River’s large caving network. Once your tour is complete settle in to your home from home accommodation, Smiths Beach Resort for a 2 nights stay.

Day 9 : Margaret River

Wake up the the sound of the ocean before your day of pure indulgence as you participate in an Ultimate Winery Experience with a guided tasting and gourmet lunch at one of the region’s premier estates —Vasse Felix — where exceptional wine, art, and fine food come together in a spectacular setting.

Day 10 : Fremantle

Your drive will take you towards the north to the port city of Fremantle/Walyalup is bursting with vibrancy, rich culture and quirky character. Explore the convict-built and World Heritage-listed Fremantle prison, discover the bustling Fremantle markets that are over 100 years old, relax at Bather’s beach and savour fresh seafood harbourside. Soak up the local art galleries, or browse vintage boutiques tucked into heritage buildings. Spend the evening watching an Indian Ocean sunset while tasting craft beers at Gage Roads and Little Creatures or enjoying a meal at Emily Taylor.

Day 11 : Rottnest Island

Today pack an overnight bag as you head to the port and board your vessel for a cruise across to Rottnest Island. Explore Rottnest at your own pace, by land and by sea, on this self-guided tour.  Bikes will be provided and waiting for you at the jetty on arrival, so you can ride to the many secluded bays, beaches and secluded lighthouses. The island is 11 km long by 4 km wide and takes approximately 3.5 hours to ride around. Meet the quokka, famously known as the world’s happiest animal and take the all-important selfie before your check in to your overnight island stay.

Day 12 : Perth - UK

Set sail and make sure you haven’t packed a quokka, after all these cheeky castaways will be sent to quokka jail on the mainland to ensure the island stays virus free for the “locals”. 

Your final adventure of your Western Australia will be an afternoon climb and zip wire. You will be escorted via the main arch to the midway point of Matagarup Bridge - The SkyView deck offers an open-air viewing platform, complete with Perth’s first glass bottom platform, suspended above the Swan River with 360 degree panoramic views of Perth. Descend the bridge down the city side of the main arch to the 35 metres high launch platform and prepare for an adrenaline rush. Take off and feel the thrill as you soar through the sky at up to 20 metres per second! You will be brought in for a safe landing on the eastern banks of the Swan River via our state-of-the-art braking systems.

Later this evening it is time to transfer back to the airport for your Malaysia Airlines flight back to the UK, via Kuala Lumpur.
