Your Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrive Calgary
Arrive in Calgary and check in at your hotel. Admission to The Calgary Tower is included.
Day 2 : Calgary - Banff
Depart Calgary this morning for a tour to Banff. Highlights include the Banff Gondola, Surprise Corner, and the Hoodoos. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore Banff on your own.
Day 3 : Banff - Free day
Today is free for you to explore Banff. Perhaps stroll down Banff Avenue or walk the Bow Falls Trail and look at Bow Falls, or go out and discover the many sights and highlights of the town. Consider trying out one of the many fantastic restaurants on offer.
Day 4 : Banff - Lake Louise
Depart Banff early this afternoon for a short drive via the scenic Bow Valley to Lake Louise. The remainder of the day is free to explore this stunning natural phenomenon; the emerald green lake and surrounding rugged peaks of mountains and glaciers make for an unforgettable experience. You may wish to enjoy a hike on one of the numerous trails around the lake or paddle a canoe.
Day 5 : Lake Louise - Free day
Enjoy a free day at Lake Louise. Take a stroll beside the lake or an afternoon paddle in a canoe.
Day 6 : Lake Louise - Jasper
Travel by coach today via one of the most scenic highways in North America - the Icefield Parkway. Visit the Columbia Icefield and join an Ice Explorer ride (included) on the Athabasca Glacier and take a walk on the new Glacier Skywalk. Along the way stops will be made at Bow & Peyto Lakes, the Crowfoot Glacier and the Athabasca Falls. This highway is renowned for sightings of bears, elk, moose & mountain sheep, so keep your camera handy.
Day 7 : Jasper Sightseeing
Today is at your leisure to enjoy the spectacular wonders of Jasper. Enjoy the superb vistas, stroll the quaint streets and perhaps take an optional float ride down the Athabasca River or visit to Maligne Lake. This evening experience the Jasper Wonderland for some amazing close-up photo opportunities of wildlife. Destinations can include the Maligne Valley and the Pyramid Bench with its beaver ponds.
Day 8 : Jasper - Rocky Mountaineer - Kamloops
Board the iconic Rocky Mountaineer, in SilverLeaf Service this morning, and begin a journey of a lifetime surrounded by dramatic scenery, all the while keeping an eye out for wildlife. Today’s highlights include Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet) and the journey along the North Thompson River to Kamloops.
Day 9 : Kamloops - Rocky Mountaineer - Vancouver
Your rail journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today’s journey you will again see dramatic changes in scenery through winding river canyons and forests surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains to the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Your journey ends in Vancouver.
Day 10-11 : Vancouver Departure
Your tour ends on check out from your hotel.
