RAIL JOURNEY
VIA Rail's Ocean train links Montréal, Québec, with Halifax, Nova Scotia. You'll travel hundreds of kilometres admiring the coastal path the train follows and sleeping in comfort onboard that this Canadian railway tour.
The Ocean service links Montréal and Halifax travelling overnight 3 times a week in each direction. The Ocean leaves Montréal in the evening at 7pm, travels along the south shore of the St. Lawrence River, across New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, reaching Halifax at 5.51pm. In the other direction, the Ocean leaves Halifax at 12.45pm, arriving in Montréal the next morning at 10:03am.
The Ocean is the ideal choice for visiting Québec and the Atlantic region. It is also very handy for short journeys in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
