Day 5
Day 1 : Victoria Falls
Depart Johannesburg mid-morning for flight to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel, Stanley & Livingstone (or similar) for a 2-night stay on a bed & breakfast basis. An afternoon at leisure is followed by collection from your hotel for your transfer to the jetty for your sunset cruise. During the premium two hour guided sunset cruise guests can look forward to 5-star service on board, consisting of imported wines and spirits, gourmet hot & cold canapés. Travelling up-river you will enjoy the spectacular scenery, birdlife and wildlife on the upper Zambezi River.
Day 2 : Victoria Falls
After breakfast enjoy a guided tour of Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Walk through the magnificent rain forest where you will enjoy views of the largest falling sheet of water on earth, David Livingstone’s statue and a wide variety of birds and plants. This afternoon is at leisure to explore the local town and markets or perhaps book an optional excursion. Excursions to choose from include helicopter flights over the Falls, bicycle tours, bridge tour of the Victoria Falls bridge or Shop with a Purpose tour to fulfil a local organisation wish list and hand over your donation once your shopping is completed. Overnight on a bed & breakfast basis at the Stanley & Livingstone hotel (or similar).
Day 3 : Chobe National Park
This morning you will take a road transfer to Chobe National Park in Botswana, 100km west of Victoria Falls. Home to 450 species of birds and the largest concentration of elephants in Africa. Your stay at Chobe Game Lodge is on a full board basis. Game activities include drives in 4x4 open vehicles and boat cruises on the Chobe River. Enjoy a late-afternoon boat safari on the Chobe River.
Day 4 : Chobe National Park
Today you have the option of participating in morning and afternoon on either land or water. From your 4x4 safari vehicle you will explore parts of the Chobe National Park, your safari viewing may include herds of elephant, Cape buffalo, antelope and giraffe. On the boat safari you will experience closeup encounters with hippo, crocodile, diverse birdlife and watch antelope and Chacma baboons and Vervet monkeys come to the river bank to drink. Overnight on a full board basis at Chobe Game Lodge.
Day 5 : Victoria Falls
This morning you transfer back to Victoria Falls for the return flight to Johannesburg
