More about Tanzania

Safari Parks and Reserves

The celebrated Serengeti is where to see the Great Migration and is part of a popular ‘Northern Circuit’ which also includes Tarangire, Lake Manyara and the stunning Ngorongoro Crater. For a quieter safari, head to the beautiful southern parks of Ruaha and Nyerere.

Tanzania's Culture

Whilst Tanzania has more than 120 ethnic groups, the Maasai are the most evident, and it is not unusual to see them in Tanzania’s traditional safari areas. The island of Zanzibar has a strong Indian/ Arabic influence, adding an intriguing mix to the traditional Swahili culture.

Mount Kilimanjaro

Whilst the best views of Kilimanjaro are from Kenya’s Amboseli National Park, it is Tanzania that is justifiably proud of its iconic landmark. For those looking for an adventure, then join a supported climb to its summit; the challenge is worth the view!

Beach Stays

The tropical island of Zanzibar is without doubt the most popular beach destination after a Tanzanian safari. Affectionately known as the ‘spice island’, it is famous for its dazzling white sandy beaches, blue turquoise waters and the UNESCO-listed historic Stone Town.

Safari Activities

To really make the most of your Tanzanian safari, it’s best to combine a few safari parks. Game drives are a must, and you can complement these with bush walks. For the ultimate experience, drift over the Serengeti in a hot air balloon.

Coastal Activities

Whilst a beach stay after a safari brings a welcome rest, there is still plenty to do for those wanting to explore and partake in something a little more active. Zanzibar offers year-round water sports for all interests and abilities.
