Day 1 : UK – Perth

Depart the UK for Perth, on arrival a private transfer will take you to your hotel for a 3 night stay.

Day 2-3 : Perth

A full day tour to Rottnest Island with lunch is included during your time in Perth.

Day 4 : Broome

From Perth head north to the former pearling outpost of Broome, once one of the greatest producers of pearls in the world.

Day 5 : Broome

Time to relax, learn more about the history of this remote town, and discover the beautiful expanse of Cable Beach.

Day 6 : Gibb River Road, Windjana Gorge & Tunnel Creek

Leave Broome this morning and begin your adventure along the Gibb River Road. Stop first at the Boab Prison Tree, thought to be 1500 years old. At Windjana Gorge look for ancient marine fossils embedded in the gorge walls and keep your eyes peeled for freshwater crocodiles. Move on to Tunnel Creek, a 750 metre long, natural tunnel which flows through Western Australia’s oldest cave system. (L,D)

Day 7-8 : Purnululu National Park

Travel to Halls Creek before arriving in the Purnululu National Park for a 2 night stay. Embark on a tour with an indigenous Australian Tradition Owner and learn the history, stories and culture of the Bunuba country and its people. Discover the magic of the Bungle Bungle Range as you explore Piccaninny Creek and Cathedral Gorge.

Day 9 : Kununurra

Enjoy a hike through Echidna Cavern, where the towering walls of the gorge soar more than 200 metres before continuing onto Kununurra.

Day 10 : El Questro

Spend time at Lake Argyle for a wilderness cruise on the Ord River. Learn more about the area’s ecological before heading for El Questro Wilderness Park for a 2 night stay. There is the opportunity to upgrade your stay here to The Homestead, please ask for details.

Stay: El Questro – Emma Gorge (B,L,D)

Day 11 : El Questro

This morning, enjoy a hike to Emma Gorge for a refreshing waterfall swim. After lunch relax at Zebedee Springs. (B,L,D)

Day 12 : Gibb River Road

At Galvans Gorge there is time for a swim at a pretty waterhole, before heading for your next wilderness lodge for a 2 night stay. Stay: Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge (B,L,D) 

Day 13 : Bell Gorge

Explore Bell Gorge, where the spectacular cliffs surround a series of tiered waterfalls. (B,L,D)

Day 14 : Broome

Wend your way back to Broome, via Derby where there is time to visit a local art gallery featuring local indigenous art. (B,L)

Day 15 : Perth

After a final night in Broome, return to the airport for your flight to Perth.

Day 16 : Alice Springs

Today, return your rental car before your onward journey back to the UK. Or continue your journey to explore anther state, maybe the contrast of the red desert sands of Uluru or the bustling city of Sydney. We would be delighted to share our recommendations.

Day 17-18 : Alice Springs

Over the next 2 days explore the remarkable Alice Springs Desert Park and enjoy a full day tour which takes in all the highlights including the Alice Springs Telegraph Station, School of the Air and the West MacDonnell Ranges.

Day 19 : The Ghan

Step aboard the icon Ghan for a journey through the magnificent colours of the outback to Darwin. Watch as the landscape turns from the rich reds and orange of the desert to the vibrant green of the tropical ‘Top End’ as you reach your final destination. (FB)

Day 20 : Darwin

On arrival in Darwin, transfer to your waterfront hotel for a 3 night stay.

Day 21-22 : Darwin

There is time to relax and explore this tropical city. Head to the Mindle Beach Market at sunset to stroll the colourful stalls, pick up some delicious street food and sit on the sand to watch the vibrant sunset.

Day 23 : Departure

Return to the airport for your homeward flight.
