Day 1-2 : Depart the UK for Cairns
Board your flight from the UK to Cairns.
Day 3-6 : Cairns
On arrival into Brisbane, you will be met and transferred to your hotel to relax before your Queensland adventure begins. On day 4 we have included a morning short walking tour which will offer a blend of sightseeing, local story telling and tasty treats on route.
Day 5 : Great Barrier Reef
Collect your car from Brisbane downtown and head north following the coastline. An easy, relaxed drive will see you arrive for your overnight stay on the Sunshine Coast.
Day 7 : Mission Beach
Wend your way south along the Cassowary Coast to Mission Beach. This laid-back coastal town offer a wide variety of activities and is also a good place to try and spot the Cassowary in its natural habitat.
Day 8 : Mission Beach
This morning you will continue your drive towards Hervey Bay where you will park at Urangan Harbour. Board the 50 min ferry ride to K’gari, for a stay at Kingfisher Bay Resort.
Day 9 : Townsville
Head onwards to Townsville for a night, your jumping off point for Magnetic Island.
Day 10-12 : Magnetic Island
Take the morning ferry back to Urangan Harbour and travel north towards Bundaberg. Perhaps you will take a late afternoon sundowner cruise at one Queensland’s best kept secrets.
Day 13-14 : Longreach
Swap the vivid colours of the reef for the dark reds and oranges of the outback. From Townville fly to Longreach, home to the Qantas Founders Museum and the Australian Stockman’s Hall of fame, there is a rich pioneering and cultural heritage and it’s the perfect base for exploring outback Queensland.
Day 15 : Brisbane
Leave the outback behind as you head for the bright lights of Brisbane for a 3-night stay.
Day 16-17 : Brisbane
Gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. With year-round tropical weather, palm-fringed beaches, waterfront parks, al fresco restaurants and vibrant markets.
Day 16 : Mount Tamborine Winery Tour
Enjoy a guided wine tour of Mount Tambourine today, in the Gold Coast Hinterland with tastings at 5 family-run wineries. Lunch is included along with transfers from your Brisbane Hotel.
Day 18 : Depart Brisbane
Head north via Bowen to Townsville, gateway to Tropical North Queensland.
