Your Itinerary
Day 1-2 : UK to Cairns
Depart the UK for Cairns onboard Cathy Pacific.
Day 3 : Arrive Cairns
On arrival into Cairns, you will be met and transferred to your overnight accommodation.
Day 4 : Port Douglas (45 miles)
Today collect your rental car and drive north to Port Douglas, gateway to two World-Heritage listed natural wonders, the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. Check in to your accommodation for 3 nights, the rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 5 : Daintree & Cape Tribulation
Commence your day on this small group tour with a drive north along the scenic route via Mossman to Cape Tribulation and onto the majestic Daintree River, where you will stop to enjoy an informative river cruise. Ascend the Alexandra Range and experience the rainforest on an elevated National Park Boardwalk. Stop at Cape Tribulation Beach, where you will overlook the mountains and coast where the 'Rainforest meets the Reef. Return south, crossing the Daintree River by cable ferry before returning to your accommodation.
Day 6 : Great Barrier Reef
Explore the fringes of the amazing Great Barrier Reef in comfort and style. On this cruise you will get to hop on a custom-designed vessel that will take you to Agincourt and Opal Reef, two of the best areas of this natural wonder. Explore the outer edge and dive in rich and diverse coral gardens with your very own snorkelling gear.
Day 7 : Atherton Tablelands
Time to head south for this evening’s unique stay. Take in the quaint village of Yunggaburra, the landscape here is spectacular. For the next 2 nights you will be staying in a private treehouse, complete with a veranda boasting stunning mountain views. This cool, tropical mountain retreat offers peace and relaxation.
Day 8 : Atherton Tablelands
Enjoy breakfast provisions provided out on your private veranda. This afternoon you will join a small group tour to see rare Australian wildlife by day and night. You will also hear how the Aboriginal people use native flora and fauna. Following dinner your guide will spot for platypus, possum and tree kangaroos.
Day 9 : Mission Beach (90 miles)
Make your way down towards the coast, stopping at Milla Millaa Falls for a swim or just dip your toe, you may also like to check out MaMu Rainforest Canopy Boardwalk. This evening will find you beachside in Mission Beach for 2 nights.
Day 10 : Mission Beach
Simply relax by the pool or take a walk along 8 miles of beautiful white sandy beach
Day 11-15 : Hamilton Island (90 miles)
Gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. With year-round tropical weather, palm-fringed beaches, waterfront parks, al fresco restaurants and vibrant markets.
Day 16&17 : Brisbane
Leave your footprints in the sand and join your fight to the Sunshine Capital, Brisbane for 2 nights stay. You will be met at the airport and transferred to your accommodation. Brisbane prides itself on being a laid-back city with year-round warm weather, offering visitors a thriving culinary scene and a scenic riverfront location from which to watch the world go by.
Day 18&19 : Depart Brisbane
You will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to the UK with Cathay Pacific
