Self Drive Tour
Australia is home to some of the world’s most unique wildlife, this itinerary blends two states perfectly. Be prepared for an adorable overload of Quokkas, Koala and “Roo” photos, there may be other “locals” that make an appearance so keep the camera handy. When you are not taking that perfect Quokka selfie, Western and South Australia showcase incredible food, wine and tasting experiences, from Vasse Felix to Jacobs Creek, we really have everything covered for a wildlife and gourmet indulgence.

Day 1&2 : UK-Arrive Perth
Depart from London or your preferred UK airport for your overnight flight to Perth. On arrival you will be met and transferred to a city centre hotel for 2 nights. Welcome to Western Australia where a smile will take centre stage.
Day 3 : Perth
Today is free for you to explore at your own pace. We recommend a street art walking tour or glide along the Swan River to view a different perspective of this coastal city. For history and architecture, you may wish to take the train to Fremantle where convict history tales are gruesomely shared at Fremantle prison.
Day 4 : Rottnest Island
This morning embark on a short ferry ride to Rottnest Island for 2 nights stay. Accommodation is an authentic deluxe glamping oceanside tent with full en-suite facilities, alternatively there is a more traditional hotel on the island. Rottnest is home to the world-famous Quokka, deemed to be the “happiest animal on earth, don’t forget to take a selfie!
Day 5 : Rottnest Island
During your stay on Rottnest Island, we would be happy to arrange bikes and snorkel equipment. Discover the island your way, whether that be on two wheels, tie up your laces and hike or simply find a secluded beach and take a dip in the turquoise waters.
Day 6 : Yallingup, Margaret River
An early departure this morning from Rottnest Island and return to Perth city by ferry. You will collect your vehicle and head south towards the Margaret River. We recommend a stop at Busselton Jetty, the longest timber piled Jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. Board the train which transports visitors to the end where you will find an underwater observatory. Your accommodation for the next 3 nights is beachside living with over 200 vineyards, breweries and gin distilleries on your doorstep.
Day 7&8 : Yallingup, Margaret River
We recommend you start you day just a short drive away at Gnarabup beach, a favourite spot with locals, this really is “breakfast with a view.” Visitors who wish to visit a cellar door and enjoy a vineyard lunch, we would be happy to prebook and share our favourites. This evening, why not ask us about a guided nocturnal wildlife encounter.
Day 9 : Adelaide
Today, drive back to Perth and return your vehicle for your evening flight to Adelaide. You may wish to stop at Ngligi Cave on the way where the unique sound of the didgeridoo is played in a natural cave amphitheatre, a truly magical experience. In addition to the cave, join a guided tour and learn of aboriginal stories and how local flora and fauna has been used throughout the years in daily life. On arrival into Adelaide, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for 2 nights.
Day 10 : Barossa Valley Vineyard Tour
Join a small group day tour to the Barossa Valley, where wine and artisan delicacies entwine. Your guide will be sure to not only take you to some of the cellar doors worldly renown such as Jacobs Creek, but you will also be a guest at lesser-known vineyards where the grape is young and the wine makers creative.
Day 11 : Kangaroo Island
You will be transferred this morning to Adelaide domestic airport for a short hop to Kangaroo Island where you will be immersed in wildlife and nature for the next 3 nights. On arrival you will meet your hosts and driven approx. 60 mins to your cliff top accommodation.
Day 12&13 : Kangaroo Island
Included in your stay is a fully guided nature tour as well as an array of activities from gin tasting to morning yoga and sundowners with the Kangaroos.
Day 14 : Adelaide
On check out you may wish to take a self-guided walk or read a book at the beach before you are transferred back to the airport for your return flight to Adelaide for 1 night.
Day 15-16 : Adelaide-UK
Your Wildlife adventure is ending, with fond memories it is time to leave South Australia and fly home to your preferred UK airport.
