Discover New England

Made up of the six diverse states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont, New England is known as the “birthplace” of America. Each state has its own way of life but is connected by rich history, cultural attractions, fascinating cities, scenic villages, outdoor adventure and delicious local food and drink.

New England is famed for its dazzling fall foliage with a magical expanse of red, gold and orange colours stretching as far as the eye can see. But the region is much more than just the autumn months.

It is rich in history: pilgrims first arrived and settled in Plymouth in 1620. By the late 18th century the British colonies of New England were among the first to demonstrate ambitions of independence and in 1775 Lexington and Concord saw the first shots fired of the American Revolution. In the 19th century, New England also played a fundamental role in the movement to abolish slavery.
