Fall in love with Vancouver this Autumn

Crisp leaves are becoming hues of fiery red, burnt orange and golden yellow; commuters are digging out their scarves, hats and gloves… But that doesn’t stop the vibrant city of Vancouver. As Autumn falls upon us, we take a look at the events taking place in Vancouver, showcasing everything from music events to outdoor adventure for the whole family.

Lost Souls of Gastown | October 13 – November 1

Gastown hosts a roaming theatre experience in which you can learn all about the vivid account of Vancouver’s dark early history, and its link to a tragic fictional tale. This walking tour follows the story of George Turle, how he ran from the Great Fire and became involved in one of Vancouver’s most notorious murders….We won’t give too much away, but leave the younger children at home for this one!

Halloween Vancouver Trolley Tour | October 14 – 31 

Hop on board a trolley bus and make your way through Vancouver, hearing chilling stories of horror and fright. Stops include the Mountain View Cemetery and the city morgue, in which more than 15,000 autopsies were performed. These frightful stops help bring the stories you’ll hear to life!

Fort Langley’s Grave Tales | October 14 – 30 

Suitable for thrill-seekers 17 years or older, the two-hour journey features a costumed storyteller guiding participants through the quaint village and its misty cemetery while sharing eerie stories of the mysterious burials and old-school amputations that once took place there. Learn more.

FlyOver Canada | October 20 – 31 

The famous FlyOver has had a Halloween makeover! Dress up in your best fancy dress costume and take a breathtaking virtual flight across the country. FlyOver Canada will be welcoming aspiring witches, wizards and guests of all ages to experience a Witches Academy-themed pre-show with special guests Broomelda, the Witches Academy Headmistress and her companion Midnight, the cat. Guests will receive an Official Witch Academy Diploma for every graduate, and there will be lots of Halloween-inspired decorations… A fun event for the whole family! .

Glow in the Garden | October 24 – October 31 

Immerse yourself in the Halloween spirit as you take a walk in the woods at the beautiful VanDusen Botanical Gardens. Expect ghoulish music, spectacular lights and amazing pumpkins carved by award-winning carvers. Kids can take part in fun Halloween arts and crafts, and for the parents there’s hot apple cider…. What’s not to love?

Haunted Village at Burnaby Village Museum | October 27 – 30 

Dress up and get your groove on! With a live DJ, spooky funfair rides and trick-or-treating activities for the kids, there’s something for everyone at the Haunted Village. Make sure to visit the Ice Cream Parlour for ghoulish snacks!

Halloween Howler with Bush | October 31 

A host of 90’s alternative and punk bands take the stage this Halloween for an evening to remember. Enjoy music from much-anticipated rockers and have a dance along!
