Embark on the Canadian bear safari, travelling from the wilds of British Columbia to the remote frontier community of Churchill, Manitoba. Begin in the cosmopolitan city of Vancouver, between the Pacific Ocean and Coast Mountain Range before flying to the untamed wilderness of Knight Inlet, located north of Campbell River on Vancouver Island and home to an abundance of grizzly bears. Travel then to Winnipeg and onto Churchill, to spend time on an Ultimate Polar Bear Adventure at a Churchill lodge, crossing Arctic Tundra in search of wildlife.

Your Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrive Vancouver
Arrive in Vancouver and transfer independently to your downtown hotel. Check in for a 2-night stay. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore.
Day 2 : Vancouver
The day is free for you to explore Vancouver. Cycle around Stanley Park, browse the stalls and shops of Granville Island or explore Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain.
Day 3 : Campbell River
Today we have included a tour of Stanley Park by E-Bike. This relaxed ride will take you through the park’s temperate rainforest with a guide, with a history of the Coastal First Nations People. See the totem poles and uncover the 125-year-old history of the park and enjoy the peaceful escape from the city. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure.
Day 4-5 : Knight Inlet Lodge
After having most of the day at leisure to explore on your last full day in the city, ease into the evening aboard a luxury catamaran departing Vancouver’s False Creek as you go in search of whales. This 3-4 hour tour is a favourite of photographers, as the sun sets over the Salish Sea and you catch a glimpse of marine life on the way.
Day 6 : Vancouver
Depart Vancouver this morning on your sightseeing transfer to Whistler. Discover one dramatic landscape after another as you drive the scenic Sea to Sky Highway, winding between stunning coastal scenery and mountain views. The tour will make a stop at the Sea to Sky Gondola, with spectacular views of Howe Sound. Arrive in Whistler at lunchtime with the rest of the afternoon free to indulge in the many restaurants, bars and shop in the pedestrianised village centre.
Day 7 : Winnipeg
This morning, make your way to Vancouver Airport to fly to Winnipeg. On arrival, make your way to your hotel for a 1-night stay. The rest of the day is free to explore the city – take a trip to the Forks Market to sample a variety of foods, or visit the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.
Day 8 : Lazy Bear Lodge, Churchill
Fly to Churchill this morning and transfer to Lazy Bear Lodge for 3-nights. On arrival, you’ll be taken on the first part of your Churchill Heritage Tour before returning to the lodge.
Day 9 : Churchill
Rise early this morning as you embark on a sunrise Land Rover tour in the hopes of seeing Whistler’s black bears. Travelling off-road, your guide will take you to the bears’ favourite locations – you may also see moose, deer, mountain lions or coyotes that also call the region home. Return to Whistler in time for your pre-booked coach transfer to Vancouver Airport.
Day 10 : Churchill
Explore more of the Churchill Wildlife Management Area today on another Arctic Crawler Tour with more chances to see magnificent polar bears.
Day 11 : Winnipeg
Check out from Lazy Bear Lodge and transfer to the airport ahead of your flight to Winnipeg. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 12 : Winnipeg departure
Make your way to Winnipeg Airport ahead of your departing flight.
