Day 1 : Depart Vancouver

Depart Vancouver at 4:30pm. On-board your cruise ship relax, unpack and settle in before joining in the festive sailaway party on the Lido Deck. Your boat will slip under Vancouver’s iconic Lions Gate Bridge bound for the fascinating explorations of the Inside Passage.

Day 2 : Cruising the Inside Passage

Today will be spent cruising the Inside Passage. This beautiful scenic waterway reaches 1000 miles from British Columbia to historic Skagway. Through a maze of bays, straits, arms and fjords, you’ll cruise past an ever-changing panorama of unspoiled beauty; cascading waterfalls, virgin forests and majestic glacier-carved fjords.

Day 3 : Ketchikan

Today you’ll be heading to Ketchikan; much of the town’s colourful past is still in evidence, as you’ll realise when you the world’s largest collection of totem poles which stare out to sea. The Tlingit Nation welcomes you to Ketchikan with song and dance at the clan house in Saxman Native Village. Study the stories carved into the Tlingit totem poles and carve a story of your own with a tribal elder. Ketchikan comes from the native language word “where the eagles meet”... so be sure to keep an eye out for them.

Day 4 : Juneau

Continue your journey to Juneau, Alaska’s capital city. Born in the gold rush of 1880, it is the incredible scenery, wild mountains, fjords and dominating glaciers that make this city stand out. Make sure to keep an eye out for wildlife; you might spot humpback and killer whales, sea lions, porpoise, eagles and deer.

Day 5 : Skagway

Your next stop is Skagway. The staging grounds for the most incredible gold rush the world has ever known, today you’ll stroll past false fronted buildings and the wooden boardwalks that line the street. Perhaps take a walking tour of downtown, now preserved as the Klondike Gold Rush National Park, and hear riveting stories of the gold rush.

Day 6 : Glacier Bay

Watch as a monumental chunk of ice splits off and thunders into the sea, shooting water hundreds of feet into the air. Hold your breath as you capture the moment... then wait for it all to happen again. And it does: Glacier Bay has more actively calving tidewater glaciers than anywhere else in the world.

Day 7 : At Sea

Today make use of the on-board amenities; perhaps get a massage or enjoy a wine-tasting session. Or maybe you’d like to immerse yourself in everything Alaska at a seminar featuring local microbrews, seafood and artisanal fare.

Day 8 : Seward (Anchorage)

Disembark this morning, where your cruise comes to an end.
