Day 1 : Arrive Winnipeg

Arrive in Winnipeg. At 7:00 pm a dinner will be held at the hotel, where you will meet your fellow travellers and adventure specialist.

Hotel: The Grand Winnipeg Airport

Day 2 : Winnipeg – Dymond Lake Ecolodge

Fly to Churchill and on to Dymond Lake Ecolodge. Today includes a guided hike on the beautiful coastline, an interpretive slide show and hopefully a clear night for viewing the Aurora Borealis. Dymond Lake Ecolodge features an Aurora viewing tower for northern lights observation.

Hotel for 3 nights: Dymond Lake Ecolodge

Dymond Lake Ecolodge is 30 km north of Churchill on a strip of land bordered by Dymond Lake and Hudson Bay. Dymond Lake offers:

  • A viewing tower to take in the expansive tundra landscape and its wild inhabitants
  • Cosy common areas with fireplaces for evening wind down
  • Double and quad rooms in two separate guest cabins, all with private washrooms
  • Expansive picture windows on virtually every wall to maximize viewing

Day 3-4 : Nature trekking, bear viewing & photography

Two days of trekking. The morning and afternoon walks are comfortably paced. They are guided by professional and knowledgeable tour leaders who are experts in keeping bears at a safe distance.

Day 5 : Dymond Lake – Churchill

Fly to Churchill, where the day is free to explore the town on your own. A dine-around voucher is provided for dinner this evening.

Hotel: B&B accommodation

Day 6 : Tundra Safari – Winnipeg

After breakfast take a Tundra Safari in a specially constructed vehicle for more polar bear viewing. Then in the evening fly to Winnipeg.

Day 7 : Depart Winnipeg
