Day 1 : UK - Toronto

Arrive at Toronto airport and make your way to your downtown hotel for a three night stay.

Day 2&3 : Toronto

With the city at your feet, you can explore the many facets of this world-class destination. Toronto boasts a fascinating mix of multi-cultural neighbourhoods. From Chinatown to Little Italy, Greektown on the Danforth to Little Portugal, you’ll discover a virtual world within one city. Some other highlights: the CN Tower and spectacular SkyDome, Ontario Place, the Hockey Hall of Fame, the Ontario Science Centre or the Royal Ontario Museum. You can see them all and more with your included hop-on, hop-off city tour ticket, which also includes a cruise on Lake Ontario to give a different view of the city.

Day 4 : Toronto to Niagara Falls (128km)

Collect your car from the downtown Avis office this morning. Today’s route leads south, skirting the Niagara Escarpment and traversing the orchards and vineyards of the Niagara Peninsula. You will discover the historic village of Niagara-on-the-Lake proudly displaying its 19-century heritage. Take some time to browse through the quaint shops and boutiques before continuing along the scenic Niagara Parkway to Niagara Falls. Get up close to the base of the Falls on your included boat ride. Overnight in Niagara Falls.

Day 5 : Niagara Falls to Kitchener (140km)

This charming rural region is not only home to the University of Waterloo, Wilfred Laurier University and Conestoga College, but welcomes over 600,000 visitors to its unique brand of Oktoberfest each year. Founded in 1784, Kitchener is the gateway to the Grand River Valley - world renowned for its natural beauty, and local watershed conservation areas, the valley offers over 30 miles of community trails for hiking, jogging, cycling, or birdwatching. Overnight in Kitchener.

Day 6 : Kitchener to Midland (190km)

Travelling north to the shores of Georgian Bay, you’ll venture into the heart of Central Ontario and the rural town of Midland - your gateway to the picturesque 30,000 islands. Founded by pioneering Jesuits, Midland offers visitors a rich diversity of historical and natural beauty to admire. Your day will be filled visiting Georgian Bay Islands National Park, Huronia Museum and Indian Village, Huronia Historical Parks Discovery Harbour, Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre and The Martyrs' Shrine. Overnight in Midland.
 

Day 7 : Midland to Huntsville (134km)

Your dive to Huntsville will take you through the vast lake lands of Ontario. Take some time to explore the vast wilderness of Algonquin Provincial Park, renowned for its hiking trails and canoe routes that invite you to discover the diverse beauty of the area’s flora and fauna. Overnight in Huntsville.

Day 8 : Huntsville to Pembroke (233km)

Take some more time to explore the vast wilderness of Algonquin Provincial Park, before venturing further east to the Pembroke / Ottawa Valley region. A multicultural mosaic of English, Scottish, Polish, Irish, German, Indian, French, Greek and Chinese settlers make this a fascinating city to explore. Overnight in Pembroke.

Day 9 : Pembroke to Ottawa (147km)

Enjoy a scenic drive along the Québec-Ontario border and pass typical rural towns, such as Renfrew and Arnprior on your way to Ottawa for a two night stay.

Day 10 : Ottawa

Dignified and stately, Canada’s capital city balances the overwhelming presence of government with cultural variety and natural beauty. Ottawa is blessed with an abundance of attractions that will enliven your visit no matter the time of year. Bask in the city’s wealth of historic landmarks — from the iconic Parliament Buildings to the Rideau Canal — all located within its downtown core, marvel at the architectural wonders that house national museums and galleries and soak in Ottawa’s natural beauty. An included hop-on hop-off city tour will ensure you see all the sights.

Day 11 : Ottawa to Gananoque (166km)

Drive south this morning across rural Ontario. On your way, you will be entering the beautiful Thousand Islands region, where forested islands lie amid tranquil lakes. Take to the water and step aboard a cruise to explore the magnificent scenery of the Thousand Islands. This wonderfully lush island landscape is dotted with luxurious cottages and vast estates. The cruise will take you past Boldt Castle, Zavikon Island and Millionaire’s Row. Overnight in Gananoque.

Day 12 : Gananoque to Toronto (289 km) - UK

Take a leisurely drive along Lake Ontario’s shoreline to Toronto airport. Return your rental cart in time to check in for your return flight.
