Day 1 : Santiago

Arrive in Santiago, Chile’s vibrant capital. This metropolis enjoys one of the most stunning settings of any city in the world, flanked by the Andes mountains. You’ll be transferred to your hotel and later enjoy a welcome dinner.

Day 2 : Santiago – Valparaíso

Enjoy a guided tour of Santiago this morning, wandering through the city’s historic and modern sites including the Plaza de Armas de Santiago, a bustling urban square and heart of the city. Take in the spectacular views as you ride a cable car up San Cristóbal Hill. Drive to Valparaíso next, where you will take one of the funiculars up into the hills to visit the picturesque neighbourhoods of Cerro Alegre and Cerro Concepcion. (B)

Day 3 : Buenos Aires

Today you will be transferred to the airport ahead of your flight to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival into Argentina’s cosmopolitan capital, the rest of the day is at leisure for you to relax and explore at your own pace.

Day 4 : Buenos Aires

Your in depth tour of Buenos Aires starts this morning along the Avenida de Mayo. At the Plaza de Mayo in the city centre, admire the Casa Rosada, a pink, palatial building that houses the offices of the country’s president. Other highlights today include the cathedral as well as the Cabildo, Buenos Aires’ first city hall. Explore the Italian-influenced barrio of La Boca and its famously colourful pedestrian street, the Caminito and the widest street in the world – Avenida 9 de Julio. Later, there are two Inside Experiences that offer deeper insight into the heart of Buenos Aires including a traditional coffee house visit paired with Spanish delicacies, and a tango show. (B, D).

Day 5 : Buenos Aires

Today is yours to either relax or enjoy more of what Buenos Aires has to offer. There are some Enhance Your Journey choices today including a visit to the island town of Tigre for a peaceful river cruise along the Paraná Delta, or an Argentine dinner experience where you’ll learn the fundamentals of Argentinian cuisine, master traditional techniques and savour iconic dishes paired with wines. Day 6 : Iguazú Falls

Fly to Iguazú Falls today – a spectacular system of 275 falls on the border of Argentina and Brazil. On the Argentinian side, ride the Ecological Train to a series of walkways and viewpoint points. The train stops at several locations that lead to the 82 metre high Devil’s Throat, one of the most incredible falls of the region. There is an option Enhance your Journey Experience available later, where you have the chance to board a speedboat to get up close to the falls and view them from a thrilling perspective.

Day 7 : Iguazú Falls

On the Brazilian side of the falls today, experience the majestic of the World Heritage- listed Iguaçu National Park during a half-day tour. Walk through subtropical rainforest for panoramic falls views. Enhance Your Journey with a tour of Parque Das Aves sanctuary to explore the vibrant birdlife, or a 10-minute helicopter flight high above the falls. Tonight, dine at a local restaurant serving local and regional dishes. (B, D).

Day 8 : Rio de Janeiro

Later today, fly to Rio de Janeiro, also known as ‘Cidade Maravilhosa’ – Portuguese for ‘the Marvellous City’. Check into your hotel and stroll the iconic Copacabana beachfront.

Day 9 : Rio de Janeiro

Head to Corcovado Mountain and visit the incredible statue of Christ the Redeemer – the world’s largest art deco sculpture. Admire the breathtaking views of the city and its surroundings, before riding a cable car to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain to watch the sunset. For dinner this evening, you’ll enjoy an Insider Experience for a true taste of Rio de Janeiro. Sample the country’s national cocktail, the caipirinha, and indulge in Brazilian barbecue at a churrasco restaurant. (B, D).

Day 10 : Rio de Janeiro

There is always something to discover in Rio, and today you have the full day to relax or explore more of this dynamic city. You can choose to Enhance Your Journey today with several choices: be transported back in time during a Historical City Tour, be welcomed behind the scenes of the carnival to learn about its history and significance to the city, or board a schooner to sail around Guanabara Bay to enjoy views of Rio de Janeiro’s coastal landmarks. Day 11 : Rio de Janeiro departure

Today your tour comes to an end after breakfast and you will be transferred to the airport for your departing flight. (B)
