Your Itinerary
Day 1&2 : Santiago - UK
Arrive in Santiago and be transferred privately to your hotel for a 2 night stay. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to relax or explore independently.
Day 3 : Santiago
Explore the capital of Chile today on a half day city tour. Start your day at the main avenue Alameda Bernardo O’Higgins, visiting La Moneda, the Government Palace and enjoying a walk through the pedestrianised streets of Huérfanos and Ahumada. You’ll see both the modern and historical sights of Santiago, as your tour then takes you to the main square of Plaza de Armas, surrounded by the Metropolitan Cathedral and other historical buildings. Also included is a visit to Santa Lucia Hill, the mount upon which the Spanish founded Santiago in 1541. Cross the river to the artistic neighbourhood of Bellavista, before enjoying panoramic city views from San Cristóbal Hill.
Day 4 : Atacama Desert – Moon Valley
A private transfer is included taking you to the airport for your flight to Calama. On arrival, you’ll be transferred to the colourful village of San Pedro de Atacama – 2,400 metres above sea level. This afternoon spend time exploring the Moon Valley, with stops at the Great Dune, Tres Marías, the Ampitheatre and Mirador de Cari for breathtaking views of the Andes. End the day back in San Pedro de Atacama.
Day 5 : Altiplanic Lagoons, Piedras Rojas and Chaxa
Depart at dawn to your first stop today – Chaxa Lagoon - an oasis in the middle of a salt desert and catch a glimpse of the resident flamingos. Next is Piedras Rojas, climbing to an elevation of 3,800 metres followed by a walk to see coppercoloured rocks and surrounding lagoons and salt flats. Enjoy breakfast here, before heading to the Altiplanic Lagoons. See the surrounding mountain range and the sky’s deep blue colour reflected in the lagoons, followed by a visit to the charming town of Socaire for lunch accompanied by spectacular views of the Salar de Atacama.
Day 6 : El Taito
Before dawn, depart San Pedro for the breathtaking El Tatio Geysers - one of the world’s highest geothermal fields - arriving in time to witness their spectacular early morning eruptions and walk among steaming vents and bubbling pools. On your return, enjoy stops to admire the region’s stunning high- Andean landscapes and wildlife before arriving back in San Pedro de Atacama for a relaxing afternoon and overnight stay.
Day 7 : Valparaíso
This morning you’ll be transferred to the airport in Calama for your flight to Santiago. On arrival you’ll be transferred to Valparaíso where you’ll spend the night. Explore this colourful city awash with street art and hillside neighbourhoods on a city tour. Once considered ‘The Jewel of the Pacific’ before the opening of the Panama Canal, the upper and lower parts of the city are connected by funiculars which you will explore alongside the brightly painted houses and panoramic views.
Day 8-9 : Puerto Natales – Patagonia
Transfer back to Santiago today for your flight as the next part of your journey takes you to Patagonia. Spend the next two nights at Hotel Remota – a lodge inspired by traditional Patagonian barns blending seamlessly with the remote landscape where ancient forests and glaciers have remained intact for millions of years. Over the next 2 nights, enjoy a choice of full or half day excursions including horseback riding, caving, petroglyph treks, a photo safari of Torres del Paine or an authentic visit to a traditional estancia. Perhaps a boat trip on Lago Grey, or simply relax at the lodge’s swimming pool, sauna and Jacuzzi
Day 10 : Torres del Paine
Today you will head to Torres del Paine – a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve surrounded by mountains, turquoise lakes, ice fields and diverse wildlife. Check in for your 3 night stay at Hotel Rio Serrano, set just outside the park with stunning views.
Day 11-12 : Torres del Paine
During your stay, your all-inclusive program will enable you to discover more of Patagonia with everything taken care of. Enjoy a selection of carefully crafted expeditions to explore the park’s most iconic spots: Base Torres, French Valley, Cuernos Viewpoint and Grey Lake, as well as horseback riding and gentle trails. You’re given the freedom to explore with an expert team on-hand, where you can set the pace of your discovery. Return to the hotel to sample signature Patagonian cuisine, and spend time at the spa framed by breathtaking landscapes.
Day 13 : San Antonio Valley
Fly back to Santiago and transfer to the San Antonio Valley. Spend a night in this cool climate wine region famous for pinot noir and sauvignon blanc.
Day 14 : Easter Island
Leave the mainland for Easter Island. On arrival, transfer to your hotel for the next 3 nights to explore this small volcanic island shrouded in ancient traditions. Watch the sunset over the Pacific this evening, stopping at the ceremonial complex of Ahu Tai.
Day 15 : Easter Island
Today’s excursion explores the natural and cultural highlights of Rapa Nui following the dramatic black coastline to sites including Vaihu, the Moai Trail, and the Rano Raraku quarry, home to over 300 statues. After a picnic and a visit to the iconic Ahu Tongariki with its 15 restored moai, relax at white-sand Anakena Beach, with time to swim or explore nearby ahus.
Day 16 : Easter Island
Today offers a choice of excursions. Visit lava caves at the base of Maunga Terevaka, or journey to the extinct volcano Rano Kau for panoramic views, followed by the ceremonial village of Orongo and the history of the birdman cult. This evening, enjoy a folkloric dinner and Polynesian dance show (Mondays and Saturdays only).
Day 17 : Maipo Valley
Arrive back in Santiago and transfer to the Maipo Valley, known as the ‘Bordeaux of South America’.
Day 18 : Santiago departure
Transfer to Santiago in time for your departing flight
