Day 1 : Delhi

On arrival in Delhi you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to explore.

Day 2 : Deccan Odyssey

Depart this evening aboard the Deccan Odyssey, settle in as the train departs for the overnight journey to the Ranthambore National Park. (D)

Day 3 : Ranthambore National Park

After a leisurely morning discover the wild beauty of Ranthambore National Park on an exhilarating afternoon safari. This renowned reserve offers a chance to spot majestic Bengal tigers amidst lush forests and ancient ruins. Return to the train for dinner and an evening departure for Jaipur. (B,L,D).

Day 4 : Jaipur

Explore Jaipur’s rich heritage with guided tours of the magnificent Amber Fort and the grand City Palace. Marvel at the stunning architecture, intricate frescoes, and royal courtyards that showcase Rajasthan’s regal past. This immersive experience offers a fascinating glimpse into the lives of the maharajas amid the vibrant colours and culture of the Pink City. (B,L,D)

Day 5 : Agra

Experience the timeless beauty of Agra with a visit to the iconic Taj Mahal, a masterpiece of love in white marble. Explore the impressive Agra Fort, rich with Mughal history and grandeur and visit Kalakriti, to witness the inlay work found in so many Mughal structures. (B,L,D)

Day 6 : Varanasi

Regarded as the ‘cradle of mankind’, Varanasi is the oldest living city on earth. Explore with a guided tour this morning, and an evening boat trip on the Ganges. A highlight will be the deeply spiritual night Aarti ceremony to honour the river goddess Ganga. (B,LD)

Day 7 : Khajuraho

Discover the UNESCO World Heritage-listed temples of Khajuraho, renowned for their exquisite carvings and intricate detail. Built by the Chandela dynasty, these stunning temples depict scenes of mythology, spirituality, and everyday life. Set amid tranquil gardens, the temples offer a captivating glimpse into India’s artistic and architectural brilliance from a bygone era. (B,L,D)

Day 8 : Orchha

Step back in time with a visit to Orchha, a hidden gem steeped in history. Explore the majestic Orchha Fort, with its palaces, temples, and panoramic views. Later, enjoy a charming tuk-tuk ride through the village, meeting locals and discovering daily life in rural India—a peaceful contrast to the grand heritage of the fort. (B,L,D)

 

Day 9 : Delhi - Amritsar

Arrive in Delhi this morning, a private transfer will take you to the airport for your flight to Amritsar. The remainder of your day is free. (B)

Day 10 : Amritsar

Embark on guided walk of the city which will introduce you to its history, heritage and culture whilst wandering the colourful alleyways and markets. The rest of the day is free to relax or explore.

Day 11 : Departure

Return to the airport for your onward flight.
