Day 1 : UK - Delhi

On arrival in Delhi, a private transfer will take you to your hotel.

Day 2 : Delhi

Your local guide will take you on a tour which encompasses both Old and New Delhi. Travelling through the Old Quarter visit the Jama Masjid and pass the Red Fort, this UNESCO World Heritage Site was the residence of Mughal emperors for more than 200 years. Highlights include an eco-rickshaw tour through the narrow streets of Old Delhi, street food delicacies, India Gate and Qutub Minar. (B)

Day 3 : Agra

After breakfast, this morning your driver will transfer you to Agra, a drive of around 4 hours. On arrival discover the remarkable Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a tour before checking into your hotel. This evening get your first glimpse of the Taj Mahal at sunset from the Mehtab Bagh. (B)

Day 4 : Taj Mahal and Jaipur

Today is an early start but it is well worth it to miss the crowds and discover the magnificent Taj Mahal at sunrise. Built in the 17th century by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan for his beloved wife, it took 20 years and 20,000 men to complete and is a true wonder of the world. Return to your hotel for breakfast before departing for Jaipur. The drive is around 5 hours and includes a visit to Abhaneri to see Chand Baori, a beautifully preserved ornate stepwell from the 8th and 9th century. (B)

Day 5 : Jaipur

Discover the charms of the ‘Pink City’ with a guided tour of the fabulous Amber Fort, overlooking Maota Lake. This beautiful building is a fine example of Rajput architecture. From here embark on a city tour which takes in the City Palace—a complex of palaces, gardens, courtyards, and extravagantly carved doorways. Adjacent is Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory built by Sawai Jai Singh in the late 18th century, its predictions are accurate to this day. This evening is a true highlight with an immersive cooking demonstration of Indian and Rajasthani cuisine at Ikaki Niwas, a beautiful house, followed by dinner with the family. (B)

Day 6 : Jaipur

Today is free for you to explore. Relax at your hotel or head out and discover this colourful city at your leisure. Early evening your local guide will take you on a twilight tour of the city as the sun sets. This immersive tour introduces you to the sculpture makers, artisans, and Manihara (lacquer bangle makers) that Jaipur is famed for. Try your hand at making your own bangles and get hands-on with a block printing workshop. (B)

Day 7 : Jodhpur

After an early breakfast in Jaipur your driver will transfer you to Jodhpur. Known as the Blue City, it is famed for its exquisite handicrafts, folk dancing, music and the Mehrangarh Fort, which is one of the best-preserved forts in India. On arrival the remainder of your day is free to explore.

Day 8 : Jodphur

Your local guide today will reveal all the hidden secrets of the city. Slip through crowded markets and embrace the rhythms and routines of Jodhpur. Brahmins, age old residents of the city, are said to have painted their houses the vivid blue to stand out and have intriguing stories and secrets to share. These indigohued lanes are a sight to behold and offer a window into the city from another perspective. After your walking tour visit the Mehrangarh Fort, a memorable experience. From here head to Jaswant Thada, a white marble memorial of a Rajput clan, which glows in the sunlight. (B)

Day 9 : Udaipur

The next stop on your tour of Rajasthan is Udaipur, also known as the Venice of the East. Built around 3 lakes and encircled by the hills of the Aravalli Mountain range, this is a place of temples and palaces and is regarded as one of the most romantic cities in Udaipur. En route to Udaipur discover Ranakpur Jain Temple, which sits on the banks of the River Maghai. (B)

Day 10 : Udaipur

After breakfast, your exploration begins with a visit to the City Palace Museum, a vision of granite, marble and mosaics which are displayed on intricately carved filigree balconies and windows. From here move on to the Sahelion Ki Bari, a spectacular garden which reveals the unique lifestyle of the royal ladies who once lived in the royal palaces. There is also a visit to the Jagdish Temple, built in 1651. This evening enjoy a scenic boat trip on Lake Pichola. (B)

Day 11 : Delhi

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Delhi for 1 final night. (B)

Day 12 : Depart Delhi

Your driver will transport you to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
