Day 1 : Delhi

On arrival in Delhi, your private driver will transfer you to your hotel.

Day 2 : Kings Lodge Bandhavgarh, Bandhavgarh National Park

Your morning transfer will take you to the airport for your flight to Jabalpur. On arrival your driver will meet you for the drive (5 hours) to Bandhavgarh National Park. Renowned for its high density of tigers, the park is also home to an array of wildlife including sloth beers, deer, leopards, wild dogs, wolves and jackals. It’s also a bird-lovers' paradise. Day 3 : Bandhavgarh National Park

Transfer to the station for a 9am departure for Agra. Settle into your accommodation and enjoy breakfast as the train makes its way to Agra. On arrival transfer to the Taj Mahal for a guided tour of this remarkable monument, regarded as one of the 7 wonders of the world. Return to the train for dinner this evening. (B,L,D)

Day 4 : Bandhavgarh National Park

Another day to enjoy 2 private safaris into the park, with time to relax and enjoy the surrounds of Kings Lodge too. (B,L,D)

Day 5 : Kanha Earth Lodge, Kanha National Park

After your final morning safari drive in Bandhavgarh, your driver will transfer you to Kanha Earth Lodge, a drive of around 5 hours. Also known as the Kanha Tiger Reserve, this national park is said to be the inspiration for Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale, The Jungle Book. Set in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, this expanse of wilderness provides habitat for tigers, leopards, sloth bears, pythons, gaur monkeys, mongoose, jackals and countless bird species. Day 6 : Kanha Earth Lodge, Kanha National Park

Today includes a morning and afternoon safari drive to spot wildlife. Return to your lodge between drives to relax and enjoy the facilities. (B,L,D)

Day 7 : Kanha Earth Lodge, Kanha National Park

Enjoy a leisurely morning, perhaps choose from some optional activities. After lunch discover the Mehrangarh Fort, enjoy a tuk tuk ride and a walking tour of the Old Clock Tower Market. This evening gather for a cocktail reception a Khaas Bagh, a beautiful heritage hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 8 : Pench Tree Lodge, Pench National Park

After breakfast depart for a tranquil cruise on Lake Pichola, followed be a guided tour of the City Palace and Crystal Gallery. Enjoy lunch at Fateh Prakash Palace before returning to the train. This afternoon is yours to relax or partake in an optional activity. (B,L,D)

 

Day 9 : Pench Tree Lodge, Pench National Park

The Maharajas’ Express arrive into Mumbai late afternoon. On arrival a private transfer will take you to your hotel. (B,L)

Day 10 : Waghoba Eco Lodge, Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve

After breakfast this morning depart for Tadoba, a drive of around 5 hours. The rest of the day is free. (B,L,D)

Day 11 : Waghoba Eco Lodge, Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve

It’s not uncommon to hear Tadoba referred to as the ‘Land of Tigers’ and your 2 safari drives will give you the opportunity to try and spot the abundance of wildlife that resides here. Alongside tigers there are regular sightings of sloth bears, sambar deer, wild pigs, flying squirrels, wild boar and crocodiles. (B,L,D)

Day 12 : Waghoba Eco Lodge, Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve

It’s not uncommon to hear Tadoba referred to as the ‘Land of Tigers’ and your 2 safari drives will give you the opportunity to try and spot the abundance of wildlife that resides here.
