Finally, arrive in Kyoto for a guided tour of world-famous temples and castles, with time for personal exploration before departing from Osaka.

Day 1 : Tokyo - UK
Board your flight to Tokyo.
Day 2 : Arrive in Tokyo
Konichiwa and welcome to Tokyo, Japan’s ultra-modern capital. You will meet your driver and be transferred to the hotel by private vehicle.
Hotel for 4 nights: Park Hotel Tokyo
Day 3 : Tokyo
Begin the day at the peaceful Meiji Shrine, where traditional Shinto rituals offer a glimpse into Japan’s spiritual heritage. Next, immerse yourself in the buzz of Shibuya, exploring cutting-edge fashion and the famous scramble crossing. Continue to the Imperial Palace’s Kokyo Gaien gardens to admire the serene moat and Meganebashi Bridge. In Asakusa, discover the city’s oldest temple, Sensoji, and wander Nakamise Street lined with snacks and souvenirs. Conclude with breathtaking views from the Tokyo Skytree, the tallest free-standing broadcasting tower in the world.
Day 4-5 : Tokyo
Two free days at leisure.
Day 6 : Tokyo - Hakone
This morning, your guide and driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Tokyo to embark on an adventure in Hakone National Park. Set against the backdrop of majestic Mt. Fuji, this iconic park promises a day of refreshing air and captivating sights. While your guide has a suggested itinerary, they're open to tailoring the day to your interests. From glimpses of Mt. Fuji to exploring remnants of the historic Tokaido highway, Hakone offers a rich tapestry of experiences, including visits to museums and local crafts. Be prepared for some walking, so comfy shoes are a must. Your exploration concludes around 16:00 when you'll be dropped off back at your Hakone accommodation
Hotel for 1 night: Ichinoyu Honkan
Day 7 : Hakone - Takayama
Check out of your hotel and meet the driver that will take you to Odawara station. Make your own way to the Hotel in Takayama from Odawara via Shinkansen and public transportation. Take the shinkansen out of Odawara station and transfer at Nagoya station. From there, take the limited express train for Takayama. You will have a free day at your leisure after checking in.
Hotel for 2 nights: Hidatei Hanaougi
Day 8 : Takayama
Spend the day exploring Takayama with your private guide. Stroll the 3.5 km Higashiyama Walking Course through temples, shrines, castle ruins and quiet town scenes, offering a peaceful glimpse of Takayama’s calmer side. Then take the Sarubobo Bus (210 yen per ride or 620 yen day pass, also valid for Hida Folk Village) 15 minutes from Takayama Station to Matsuri no Mori. This underground museum showcases life-size festival floats from the famed Takayama Festival, one of Japan’s three most beautiful, alongside the world’s largest Taiko drums, making for a fascinating visit.
Day 9 : Takayama - Kanazawa
This morning, make your own way to Kanazawa station and travel aboard the Shinkansen for Kanazawa. Upon arrival, make your way to your hotel via public transportation and you are free to explore Kanazawa on your own after check in.

Day 10 : Kanazawa - Kyoto
Explore Kanazawa’s samurai legacy from the Edo Period, beginning at Kanazawa Castle Park to see restored sections and ancient walls of the Maeda Clan’s seat. Visit the Kanazawa Noh Museum to discover this samurai-supported theatrical art, then stroll the preserved Nagamachi Samurai District. Step inside the Nomura Samurai House, a historic residence with a serene garden. After the tour, travel to Kyoto via Shinkansen and Limited Express Thunderbird, with free time upon arrival.

Day 11 : Kyoto
Discover Kyoto with a local guide using the city’s bus system to visit top World Heritage Sites. See Kinkakuji Temple, once a shogun’s villa turned Buddhist temple; Nijo Castle, famed for its gardens, ornate interiors and “nightingale” floors; and Heian Shrine, honoring Kyoto’s first and last emperors. Conclude at Kiyomizu Temple, with panoramic views from its nail-free wooden veranda.
Day 12 : Kyoto
Free day at leisure.
Day 13-14 : Osaka - UK
Enjoy your final morning in Kyoto before departing to the airport for your flight. Have a safe flight back home!
