Travelling by train is an extremely sociable and relaxing way to travel, chatting to fellow passengers and watching the scenery roll by from the comfort of your seat. Via Rail's network offers an excellent service with comfortable seats, a bar and snack service and dining cars on longer journeys. There are generally two seating options available on most services and Sleeper options are recommended for overnight journeys that must be pre-booked well in advance as they are very popular.
Economy Seating
Available on all services.

Business Class Seating
Only available on The Corridor services in Eastern Canada, between Quebec City and Windsor, Ontario. Additional benefits include:

Touring Class
Only available on the The Skeena route between Jasper and Prince Rupert in peak summer months on selected dates. Please ask for details. Benefits include:

DINING ON BOARD
On inter city trains an in-seat meal service is mostly available. On long distance services, Dining Cars will be available offering a number of delicious meal options prepared by the onboard chefs. Please contact us if you have dietary requirements so that we can determine whether they can be accommodated on board.
PANORAMIC VIEWING CARS
Long distance trains such as The Canadian, The Skeena and The Ocean offer dedicated cars with viewing domes providing panoramic views.
Skyline Dome Car - Each car offers an elevated dome with 24 seats offering panoramic views as you travel through the countryside, with a snack bar and lounge. There is also a dining level below offering various in-seat eating options.
Park Car - Generally found at the rear of the trains as they offer a panoramic lounge at the end of the car, Park Car domes have 24 seats with cabins, a washroom and bar. They operate on The Canadian and The Skeena routes, however, in the summer months, Park Cars can also be available on The Ocean route between Halifax and Montréal.
Panorama Dome Car - Available to Touring Class passengers on The Skeena, the car is also known as the Ultra Dome, with these seating cars offer large 6ft x 6.5ft picture windows offering superb views.
