Your final highlight is a three-night stay at one of South Africa’s finest lodges. Spend your days searching for the Big Five throughout the reserve, returning to your luxury camp for relaxation and fine dining, your stay is at truly unique Selati Camp at Sabi Sabi Game Reserve, an intimate all-inclusive camp furnished in a historic railway theme with colonial charm.

Day 1 : Cape Town

On arrival at Cape Town Airport, you will be met by and assisted to the meeting point for your private transfer to your hotel. Your accommodation is the stunning Cape Grace Hotel, a luxury hotel situated on a private quay between Cape Town’s bustling V&A Waterfront and the tranquil yacht marina.

Day 2 : Cape Town

A full day private tour will take you to Cape Point and beyond. Travel along the Atlantic Seaboard via SeaPoint, Clifton and Camps Bay to HoutBay, a quaint village and fishing harbour with magnificent mountain views and beaches. Continue, to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve at Cape Point - which is perceived to be the meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. The day will end with a visit to the well-known Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. The tour ends at approx. 5.30pm with a drop-off at your hotel.

Day 3 : Cape Town

Today a private day tour takes you to the Cape Winelands. Explore Stellenbosch and walk down the canal-lined avenues, in the shade of giant oak trees and beautifully preserved historic buildings. Travel to the town of Franschhoek, historically dating back to the 17th century, to when the French Huguenots first arrived. Enjoy a wine tasting before sampling the culinary delights at one of the many award-winning Franschhoek restaurants (lunch not included in cost). Onward to Paarl, one of the Cape’s first farming districts. Return to the bustle of city life after an enthralling day in the countryside, arriving back at approximately 5.30pm.

Day 4 : Cape Town

A free day tour to relax and explore Cape Town at your leisure.

Day 5 : Rovos Rail

An included transfer takes you to the rail station to board your Rovos Rail journey bound for Pretoria. Rovos Rail is synonymous with luxury train travel and for many seasoned visitors to South Africa, there’s no finer way to see the country. The traditional train carriages, all 1920 originals, rekindle the excitement of a bygone era. Your train departs at 11am today, travel inland through the winelands. This 1600-kilometre meander is a perfect illustration of South Africa as a world in one country. Highlights include a visit to the historic village of Matjiesfontein; this authentic perfectly preserved Victorian Village, founded by Mr Logan as a refreshment stop in 1890, also boasts an impressive museum on the platform.

Day 6 : Rovos Rail

Your journey continues. An afternoon stop will be at Kimberley providing an opportunity to enjoy a city tour and a visit to the Diamond Mine Museum and the world’s largest man-made excavation, the Big Hole.

Day 7 : Pretoria

Breakfast is served in the dining car as your train travels via Krugersdorp and Johannesburg through the goldfields of the Witwatersrand towards Pretoria. Arrival time in Pretoria is at 12noon. On arrival, a private transfer will take you to your hotel, 131 on Herbert Baker, a luxury boutique hotel overlooking the expansive city of Pretoria. The hotel comprises of 8 elegantly appointed guest rooms and suites. Exquisite interiors, impeccable service and fine cuisine combine to make this the city's most graceful and elegant hotel.

Day 8 : Sabi Sabi

A private transfer will take you for your hotel to Johannesburg Airport for your included flight to Skukuza Airport. On arrival, a transfer will take you to your lodge for a three-night inclusive stay. Sabi Sabi's intimate all-suite Selati Camp is the most unforgettable of all African experiences. Selati is furnished with a historic railway theme and colonial charm and is meticulously created as an authentic home in the bush. Safaris take place each morning and evening in open safari vehicles which drive through a wide variety of habitats, allowing visitors to view the vast interactions of the wild.

Hotel for 3 nights: Sabi Sabi Selati Camp

Day 9-10 : Sabi Sabi

Enjoy two full days at this intimate camp. Enjoy morning and evening open vehicle safaris, environmental awareness walking safaris, all meals daily, selected beverages. Kruger Park, big game abounds, moving freely through this unspoiled part of the ancient African continent. The Reserve is blessed with a great biodiversity of habitat and wildlife giving an excellent chance of close encounters with the ‘Big Five’ – elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard, as well as wild dog and cheetah. Safaris take place each morning and evening in open safari vehicles which drive through a wide variety of habitats, allowing visitors to view the vast interactions of the wild.

Day 11 : Johannesburg

A transfer this morning takes you back to Skukuza Airport to check in for your included flight back to Johannesburg, where sadly on arrival your extraordinary tour comes to an end. We would be happy to help with extra hotels or onwards flight connections to anywhere in South Africa or beyond.
