I’m Allyson, and I’ve been with First Class Holidays since its beginning 27 years ago. Prior to that I had a further 10 years’ experience in the travel industry and previously worked with our directors.
Where have you visited?
I’ve travelled extensively around North America. In Eastern Canada I’ve been to Halifax, Toronto, Niagara, Québec, Montréal and the Ontario countryside, and to Calgary, Banff, Jasper, Vancouver and Vancouver Island in Canada's West. I’ve also been all over the USA including visits to Florida, New York, Las Vegas, California, Memphis & Nashville, Alaska and New Orleans.
Where has been your favourite place?
My favourite destination so far has been Tofino on Vancouver Island where I stayed at the luxurious Wickaninnish Inn. Dining at the Pointe Restaurant was particular highlight of the stay. The best activity I’ve experienced on my travels was a whale watching trip onboard a fast and exhilarating zodiac boat from Victoria, BC.
Where's next?
I’d love to visit New Zealand next, for its magnificent landscape and coastline, vineyards, cultural attractions, adventures, nature and wildlife and history… all easily catered for!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my two miniature schnauzers, Ruby & Millie. Free weekends are spent touring with my caravan, preferably coastal sites for long walks along the beach, or the Lake District & Wales are also frequented for their stunning scenery and mountain air. As well as walking/hiking, I have recently joined a beginners Yoga class which I enjoy.
