Where to go in Queensland

Brisbane 

Queensland’s vibrant riverside capital city is wedged between the ocean and delightful national parks. It may be a hub for arts, culture and dining, but still retains a close connection with nature and a classic Aussie laid-back friendliness. It is also the gateway to the wonders of the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.

Gold Coast

It's the perfect setting for Hollywood movies and world-renowned surfing events, and it's not hard to see why. The Gold Coast has something for everyone - from foodies to families, surfers to hikers. Just 30 minutes from the beach, there's a subtropical hinterland complete with waterfalls, hiking trails and charming villages.

Great Barrier Reef

The Great Barrier Reef is one of the seven natural wonders of the world, and the world’s largest and longest coral reef system. It comprises of 3,000 separate reefs and is home to over 1,500 species of fish, abundant marine life and over 200 types of birds. It is every nature lover's paradise! 

Tropical North Queensland

Tropical North Queensland has been thousands of years in the making: within its borders, it arguably fits in more untouched beauty, ancient culture and adventure than some entire countries manage. The World Heritage-listed double-act of the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest are its most prized stars.

The Whitsundays

The Whitsundays are a group of 74 islands and one of Australia’s most iconic destinations. You can hop from Hamilton to relax on Whitehaven Beach, considered to be one of the world’s best beaches. The Whitsunday Coast has charm of its own, with great beaches, national parks and the vibrant town of Airlie Beach.

Sunshine Coast
