Your Itinerary
Day 1 : Jasper to Kamloops
Set off from Jasper in the early morning for an unforgettable day aboard en route to Kamloops. Travelling west and south, you’ll trace a landscape shaped by towering peaks and sweeping river valleys, with breathtaking views across the Continental Divide and through the Monashee and Cariboo mountain ranges. Along the way, climb over Yellowhead Pass, admire the cascading waters of Pyramid Falls and catch sight of Mount Robson — the highest summit in the Canadian Rockies at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet). The journey continues alongside the North Thompson River before reaching Kamloops in the evening.
Day 2 : Kamloops to Lake Louise
Your journey continues eastward into the majestic Canadian Rockies and back into Alberta. Experience ever-changing landscapes as you travel across ranch lands, rugged lakeshores, soaring mountain passes, and historic tunnels that highlight the rich rail heritage of the Rockies.
Today’s highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, the climb over Rogers Pass, Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels, and breathtaking views of glaciers and snow-capped peaks. Your unforgettable rail adventure concludes this evening in Lake Louise, a stunning resort town known for its turquoise glacial lake framed by towering mountain peaks and pristine wilderness.
