In autumn, darker skies create celestial wonder with stargazing while the waters make for great wildlife spotting with the chance to see migrating whales. Spring offers up blooming gardens and active adventures, including the start of the Great Walks Season.
In Winter (Jun-Aug) you’re likely to see snow in the South Island, and some of the mountainous areas in the North Island – perfect for skiers or for those wanting to unwind in geothermal hot pools!
